In anticipation for baseball season we have been getting ready with all things Angels, From enjoying coffee in the morning in an Angels 50th anniversary coffee mug,

One of the give-a-ways last season was Rally Monkey Chia Pets, they had been sitting in the closets for several months, and we decided it was the perfect time to get them started..

Our season seat tickets have also arrived and we have been busy separating them this past week getting ready for our annual "draft" party this Sunday.

Even our local Ralph's Grocery store is ready for Angels Baseball Season to begin!

Raise Your Hand If.....

you are going to the Bahamas in less then 2 months...Jordan and I have our hands raised! Yes we will be going to Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort this May with our good friends. We are super excited! We have been to Sandals twice before and absolutely love it! First we went to Sandals Grande Antiqua on our Honeymoon in 2010 and to Sandals Grande Rivera in 2011. It is so nice to get away and not have to worry about a thing! We love the all inclusives aspect of it too! It is really the way for us to go!

Jamaica 2011

Needless to say we are hoping May comes quickly! The first two Sandals Resorts have been amazing, so it will be interesting to see how the third one compares. Between Antigua and Jamaica we enjoyed Antigua a little be more. Mainly because in Antigua the Resort was 15 minutes from the airport and in Jamaica it was 90 minutes by bus. Also the Antigua resort was newer, and not as spread out. Both resorts were wonderful and I am sure that the Bahamas will be equally as nice!

Mini S'mores Pies

For my birthday last weekend my parents got me the Breville Mini Pie Maker.

I was pretty excited about it, and anxious to give it a try! There are so many possibilities, and different things to make with it: from breakfast quiches to chicken pot pies to dessert pies of course.

For my first pies, I decided to make mini s'mores pies as they looked pretty tasty and easy. I found the recipe in the cookbook that my sister gave me to go with the mini pie maker. Since these were my first pies I used refrigerated pie crust, maybe in the future I will get into making my own.

Well, they turned out just as good as they sounded and the machine was super easy to use!

S'mores Mini Pies
(makes 4 mini pies)

Ingredients:
1 pie dough round
2 graham crackers
3 milk chocolate bars
mini marshmallows

Directions:
1. Preheat the Pie Maker according to the directions. Meanwhile, using a pastry cutter, cut the pie dough into 4 individual rounds.

2. Break the graham crackers into small pieces and break the chocolate bars into small rectangles.

3. When the pie maker is preheated, work quickly and place each pie dough round into the pie maker. Using the accompanying pastry press, mold the dough into the wells to form the crust bottoms. Distribute the graham crackers equally among the crusts. Put the chocolate pieces on top of the crackers.

4. Close lip and cook until the crusts are well browned, about 10 minutes. Carefully remove the pie, (I used the tool below and it worked wonderfully.) and transfer to a wire rack. Place marshmallows on top of each pie and serve immediately.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I had a wonderful Birthday yesterday! Well actually, birthday celebrations began at the beginning of the month when Jordan got me flowers to kick off Birthday Month!

St.Patrick's Day we met up with my family for dinner and enjoyed good company and green beer :)

Yesterday began with Jordan surprising me with Mimosas in bed! It was a wonderful start to the day!

Shane Loux an ex-Angel pitcher who now plays on the the San Francisco Giants tweeted me Happy Birthday! I thought that was pretty cool! Jordan had been tweeting with him during the day and asked him to say Happy Birthday to me.

Style Saturday: Lace

Happy St Patrick's Day! Lately I have really been a big fan of all thing lace. Soft lace is so feminine and classy, and adds a nice texture to clothes and accessories.  Here are some of my favorite lace funds:

Kraft Fresh Takes

I recently had a coupon for a Kraft Fresh Take in the dairy section of the grocery store. At first I was not really sure what these were, but since I had a coupon and they were on sale I decided to pick up the Rosemary & Roasted Garlic and made it with chicken, it says it can also be made with pork and fish.

The "fresh take" comes with a blend of cheese, breadcrumbs, and spices that is used to coat the chicken. The pouch that it comes is pretty cool. It keeps the cheese separated from the bread crumbs and spices. When you open it up, it creates one big pouch that can be used to dip the chicken right into. (Less clean Up!)  The prep was next to nothing, super easy. All you have to do is open the plastic bag and mix the ingredients together, then dip the chicken into the mixture to coat and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet, less than 5 minutes prep time!

Overall, we enjoyed the chicken, it had a nice flavor to it. The coating on the chicken also became pretty crispy in the oven, giving the chicken a nice crunch to it. The taste combined with the easiness of this makes a great, quick week night meal. The other flavors include Italian Parmesan, Savory Four Cheese, Cheddar Jack & Bacon, Southwester Three Cheese Chicken, and Chili Lime & Panko, I will be buying another one on my next trip to the store.
